MOSQUITO CONTROL NO-SPRAY REQUEST FORM
The Delaware Mosquito Control Section accepts applications (Click Here - Application is in Adobe Format) for a No-spray Zone, to request that mosquito control adulticides not be applied in the immediate vicinity of your residence. (Note that applications are only accepted for properties located outside of incorporated municipalities; requests for no-spray zone consideration for properties within incorporated municipalities should be directed to the respective municipality.) Please return the form to the address indicated on the application form. You will be notified of our decision within several weeks of our receipt of a complete application.
Reference materials helpful to you as you consider your request can be obtained by clicking on the links at the bottom of this page. These reference materials consist of a fact sheet on Delaware mosquito control operations and fact sheets from the Environmental Protection Agency on mosquito control insecticides and on the insecticides naled (Trumpet EC) and synthetic pyrethroids, including sumithrin (Anvil 10+10). Trumpet is the product currently used in aerial (airplane) applications and Anvil is the product currently used in ground (truck) applications.
Please be advised that a separate No-spray Zone request must be submitted each and every calendar year for which you are requesting no-spray consideration. Requests should be submitted before March 1.
