Public Meeting on Indian River Remediation of Fuel Leak Set for Sept. 11 at Power Plant

A public meeting will be held Monday, Sept. 11 beginning at 7 p.m. at the Indian River Power Plant regarding the proposed Consent Order and draft Remediation Work Plan for the diesel fuel leak discovered this spring at the site.

The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control and Conectiv have planned the meeting to provide an opportunity for the public to learn about the cleanup activities and to offer comments on the proposed order and draft work plan.

A summary of the project is available on the Internet at , or by calling 302-739-4506. A copy of the draft Remediation Work Plan is available for review at DNREC’s Georgetown office, 422 N. DuPont Highway, Suite 1, or at the Millsboro Public Library, 217 W. State St.
