Hearing on Johnson Controls Coastal Zone Act
Permit Application Set for May 23

The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control will hold a hearing May 23 at 7 p.m. on the Coastal Zone Act permit application of Johnson Controls, Inc., Automative System Group, 800 Centerpoint Boulevard, New Castle. The hearing will be at DNREC's New Castle office, 391 Lukens Drive.

Johnson Controls is seeking to increase its production of automotive components at its Centerpoint Boulevard facility in New Castle from the current level of 1.25 million to 1.90 million components. The change will produce an increase in the company's production of solid waste.

The Department has determined that Johnson Controls' application is administratively complete and encourages members of the public to review the application, as clarified by the company, at the following Department offices: 715 Grantham Lane south of New Castle, off Route 9; Route 113 northbound in Georgetown; and 89 Kings Highway in Dover (Room Number A116).
