DiPasquale has issued a Final Findings and Order resolving alleged violations of Delaware's hazardous and solid waste laws and regulations by Green Tree Chemical Technologies, Inc. Green Tree Chemical, formerly known as Rite Off, Inc., a large generator of hazardous waste, is located in the Seaford Industrial Park, Seaford. The Final Findings and Order reduces an original $25,000 penalty assessed to the company last September to $12,500, with the remaining $12,500 of the original penalty suspended on the condition that for one year, Green Tree is not found in major violation of Delaware's hazardous waste laws and regulations. Green Tree was also ordered to pay $500 in costs to DNREC. All the alleged violations were related to waste management procedures and none resulted in a release of hazardous waste to the environment. -30- Document No. 40-01/01/01/10 _ |
