A major research aspect of all NERR sites is the System Wide Monitoring Program (SWMP), which is designed to fulfill two major goals: 1) to support state-specific non-point source pollution control programs by establishing local networks of continuous water quality and meteorological monitoring stations in representative protected estuarine ecosystems; and, 2) to develop a nation-wide database on baseline environmental conditions in the NERR system of estuaries. Information about SWMP and water quality data for all NERR sites can be found at: http://inlet.geol.sc.edu/cdmoweb/home.html Meteorological data for all Reserves should be available on-line by Fall 2001 DNERR Graduate Research Fellows The Delaware NERR, through funding from NOAA, supports two graduate research fellows who are students working towards either a Masters or Doctorate degree. Their research topics must be relevant to estuarine topics of the region and they must commit up to 15 hours a week service to the Reserve. For more information contact: http://www.ocrm.nos.noaa.gov/nerr/fellow.html Current Fellows:
