Search Tips
- Enter values in the field(s) you want to search. You may use any combination of upper
case (capital) and/or lower case letters.
- You may enter a full or partial chemical name. The search engine will return ALL
chemicals in the database that BEGIN with the characters entered.
- WILDCARD Search - you may add a '%' (per cent sign,
without quotes) character at the front of any search string to return all records that contain
the search string anywhere in the corresponding field. Please note, this
does not work with the CAS number field.
- Only complete CAS numbers with dashes will be accepted by the search engine (e.g.
Toluene's CAS # should be entered "108-88-3". Entering "108883", or a
partial number, will not work.)
- If values are entered in more than one field, the search will ONLY
return records which meet ALL of the criteria.
- If no data is entered into any of the boxes on the search form, the search will default
to finding all chemicals within the database. Be patient...this may take awhile.
