Our Mission:
The mission of the Enforcement Section is to conserve and protect the coastal, soil, air, and aquatic resources of the State of Delaware and insure that the optimum waste management practices are being used by its corporate and private citizens, thereby insuring a safe and clean environment for the citizens of the state.
Critical Objectives:
• Investigate and enforce criminal provisions of Delaware Environmental law
• Respond to Environmental Emergencies as part of the State Emergency Response Team
• Conduct community outreach and training programs.
• Collect and analyze data relevant to environmental enforcement
• Manage the Delaware Environmental Release Notification System

The Division of Air and Waste Management Enforcement Section can be contacted 24 hours a day, 365 days per year to report an Environmental Crime or Incident. Calls are received at our main office in Dover, Delaware during normal work days. After hours calls are received at the Kent County 911 Center (KENTCOM). All officers are issued cellular phones and state of the art 800 MHz radios to aid in prompt dispatch and response.
